Weird part two.

The slogan of this town is Keep Austin Weird. You see it on t-shirts and signs…you probably see it in the airport when you land.

I think Austin gets it’s weirdness from being the liberal town capital of a conservative state. That and the university and music scene – people come here for a variety of reasons, but the laid-back atmosphere is really top of mind for most (including The Doyles).

A couple days back I posted about a cyclist hitting a pedestrian and inadvertently killing said person – a very weird accident. Here’s another recent story involving a cyclist, but with a different twist.

I like to think that Austin keeps it weird on many levels. And I’m especially glad to see karma work it’s magic.

Wait, so now I not only have to fear cyclists hitting me, but also that they’ll hunt me down after I hit them?!? I think it’s time we did something about these people.
