Week 28 - finally!

by Joe Doyle on March 13, 2007

Sorry for the lack of pregnancy posts. We took a couple vacations and now SXSW is happening, so I’ve been busy to say the least. My work partner Kurt is on his way to town and we’re gonna figure out Stalelife Studios objectives and listen to good, live music.

Stacey is doing well. The babies sit on weird nerves, so she’ll lose feeling in her leg which is a real bummer. It’s hard for her to sit too long in certain spots and she has to sleep with five pillows just to be comfortable. She’s also B12 deficient, so she’s going for a shot every week.

I don’t know how women do it. I’m very grateful for all she’s doing for this family.

Week: 28
Pre-born size: 15″ long by now, over 2 lbs each.
Development: The babies can open their eyes — which now sport lashes — and they’ll turn their heads toward a continuous, bright light from the outside. Fat layers are beginning to form for life outside the womb, but we’ll take care of that when they’re born (ala Anna Nicole style). They seem to recognize my voice and like to kick and punch when I talk loudly at the belly.

Glad to see an update. Us folks out in the wilderness
need to be kept informed you know.
Those babies already look to me that the are showing
signs of sibling rivalry. Just wait!
Stacey looks to be well blosomed.
Love,
Mom
