Like Johnny Drama from Entourage, the only word I shouted as the clock ticked to zero was “Victory!”
Round Rock Hockey League: .500 on the season. Enter the playoffs. Win one against red. Lose to blue (double elimination tourney). Wait a week. Beat red in the losers bracket. Semis and finals (if necessary) scheduled for Weds.
Blue thought they would win the semis, after all, they beat us four times in a row. They didn’t even bring gatorade or food for between games (hockey is rough, and you need nourishment).
We shock ‘em in game one, win 2-1. In the championship we go up 3-nil in period one. Final 5-3, gold brings home the trophy:
I played well and made their key players very frustrated. For some reason, I was able to go deep in the late parts of the games and skate harder than most everyone (cycling background?). I love being good at defense.
This is my second championship in this league and I’m taking summer off to raise some cute little kids. That’ll be my best victory yet.
In 24 hours I’ll be bringing my wife to the hospital…

Sweet! Names? We want names.
We are thinking of coming out in Spet to visit with you, the wife and kids. Might even take you up a 5.9 crag and see your skinny Irish legs shake like a sewing machine. Let us know if that’s good timing.
No names yet - you’ll have to wait until we name them. Most likely tomorrow.
September appears good. Let’s try to finalize a date.
omg, i’m so excited for you guys! i can’t wait to read your blog tomorrow! the best of luck to you two (four).
