The nest is full.

by Joe Doyle on May 18, 2007

Karen and Corky. Bob and Jean. We’ve got a full house of happy and anxious soon-to-be grandparents.

Stacey and I were flipping around on the bed last night. Both of us are nervous, and anxious, too. Tough to sleep. Should have had more than one beer. But we find solace in smart doctors and capable nurses. Everything will be great.

Today is going to make for an amazing memory. Life altering, in a good way. Despite all the “your life is over” and “get some sleep now” comments.

I know that’s not what it’s all about. Sleep will be over-rated compared to the bliss my two new children will bring to my home, my life.

We’re ready, and the time has come. Just six more hours…

How incredibly exciting; I thank you for the opportunity to read your and Stacey’s experiences. Look forward to the posts once the twins arrive.
