September 22 is Car Free Day – get out and ride!

Every 09.22 is Car Free Day, a worldwide effort to get more people on alternative transportation. One eco-friendly soul usually turns to two and before you know it, maybe everyone will commute by bike (or walk or bus or horse or moped, etc).

For inspiration, here’s an excellent POV film forwarded to me by Kurt, my business partner at Stalelife. This cat in Toronto has mad fixie skills - riding no handed and braking at the same time in some spots.

BICYLE FILM FESTIVAL 2008 this weekend – you going?

Sweet. It’s coming.

I wrote back in July that I was excited the Bicycle Film Festival had a stop planned in Austin, and it snuck up on me. I guess the email feature on their site doesn’t work for good-looking Irish cats.

Anyway, my good friend Joe Udell asked me to join him on Friday night to see Road to Roubaix – a film about the hardest single-day bicycle race known to man.

Of course i said yes. You should join us.
