Here’s a little video of your grandkids singing to you. We love you, miss you and hope your day is amazingly great.

The food room is coming along and Gary Crowell of Vinaire (our GC) will have it complete by the time we get back from Chicago next week – we’re super stoked about that. No more washing dishes in the bathroom sink!
Check out the Flickr site for new images. I threw in the bonus pinball shot of the fam (below) for the helluvit.
See some of you soon!
At two the kids head in for another doctor’s visit for the usual inspection and a coupla shots (next wellness visit isn’t until three – hooray!). Katie and PJ did well until the needles came out, then the room filled with blood-curdling murder screams. Patrick was very sad by it all, but Katie seemed downright pissed. Kind of funny how they react differently.
New numbers:
Katherine Bing
33.5″ tall
24lbs
Patrick James
35.5″ tall
30.5lbs
Tomorrow Molly goes in to her vet for her annual and then we’ll all be caught up. I’m caught up on kitchen updates, too. See our Flickr for the latest. Have a great weekend, friends.
Here’s an idea.
Travel with your toddler twins to Chicagoland for a week-long wedding celebration. But before that, prep an SUV-sized load of goods together for the AMOM sale, host a generous-sized birthday party for said soon-to-be two-year olds, build new beds in your lawn, oh, and remodel your kitchen.
That’s May for us.
Not much else going one ’cause there ain’t no more room.
We’re on day five of a 12-day construction job that sucks our old kitchen away and brings us a new one. We’ve hired Stalelife client and friend, Gary Crowell of Vinaire to GC the operation, and he’s been great to work with (I’m totally writing this so he stays on his toes).
In all seriousness, he’s a smart guy and builder and we’re happy to have him on board.
Check out the Flickr site for a few more pics. I’ll be updating there as we get along. Today will finish the cabinet install, more paint and waiting until Monday to start day six.
Happy Friday!
If we stick around the Crestview neighborhood the twins will likely go to McAllum. It’s a pretty cool high school (as those places go) and even has the city’s only Fine Arts program, so Katie and PJ won’t have to travel if that curriculum suits their fancy.
But we will – next month we’re headed for Chicago-South Bend-Galena… it’s like déjà vu all over again. My cousin Tom is marrying his love, Lauren, and the kids and I are standing up. Patrick is going to be a ring bearer with his sister.
Yesterday we got fitted and PJ now owns his first tux. Apparently it’s the same price either way, so we bought and he was measured. When I was putting him into his monkey suit, Sara Smile by Hall and Oats was playing. He sat down in the dressing room, looked up me and smiled. I started to imagine him outside the school dance relaxing with friends as the teen sect was finally coming around to 80′s rock for the third time.
We finished his dress up and walked out to get measured when he saw himself in the mirror. At first glance he instantly let out a deep giggle and stared. I think he liked what he saw – he sure is handsome all dressed to the nines.
I’ll always remember our first dad and son trip to the men’s store. I like to think he had a pretty good time, too.
