When the babies were born I thought “what the heck am I gonna do with the blog?” Well, my passions have shifted a bit, but this blog will continue with musings about our new kids, cycling, advertising, Bears, Sox and all things cool.
Here are a few things I learned this week as a new Dad.
- Sleep is over-rated. Seriously, I’d rather be a zombie than not have Katie and Pat
- Babies sleep. A lot.
- Grandparents are the key to a successful first week post-birth. No doubt in my mind.
- Unconditional love happens the very second your child (children) are born.
- You start to worry about the future – college, schools… they aren’t even out of diapers yet.
- You imagine them racing their bikes, or kicking a soccer ball in the yard (or at least I do).
I know there’s more, but time is a premium these days and I’d rather share images.

Katie likes to put things in her mouth
when she’s hungry (which is all the time):

visit to Dr. Dawson:

A sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our friends and family who’ve called us, emailed us, sent gifts, well wishes, cards, love, linked us on their blog… it’s truly amazing and you all are very kind souls.
