Good:
Katie weighs 18 lbs, 11 oz and she’s 25.5″ long.
Patrick weighs 19 lbs, 5 oz and he’s 28″ long.
Apparently he’s growing long and she’s going wide. They haven’t been this close in weight in a long time, nor this far apart in height.
Bad:
The reason we know their height and weight is because we were at the doctor again. Both have serious coughs and soupa da butt. Very red. They each got a steroid shot and are supposed to have trippy dreams from it (seriously).
I found out today that at six months kids no longer have mom’s anti-bodies and they’re just starting to build there own. Prime time for germs to take over.
Ugly:
The caucuses last night prove that Iowa is filled with Christian extremists. Freaks. Heres’ a good breakdown on the advertising spend.
A little new year contemplation, James Lipton style.
1. What is your favorite ad word? Fresh.
2. What is your least favorite ad word? Introducing…
3. What ad or form of advertising turns you on? (Creatively, emotionally, etc.) I love an involving dimensional mailer or a great PSA.
4. What ad or form of advertising turns you off? Viagra types (and all the legal). Infomercials.
5. What sound or noise in a commercial do you love? Fart.
6. What sound or noise in a commercial do you hate? Sirens, especially when driving.
7. What is your favorite curse word? Call it a throwback to the series Deadwood (and countless times listening to my dad wrench on large appliances), but I love to use the phrase “cocksucker.”
8. What profession other than your advertising would you like to attempt? Acting or one of those huge crane operators.
9. What profession would you not like to do? G-man (what my grandpa used to call garbage men).
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Joe Doyle…we’ve been waiting for you to help us decide who gets in.

This time of year is ripe with Holiday greetings from the world’s biggest and (supposed) coolest advertising agencies. Here are a few creative gems (and one dud):
Play an instrument? You don’t have to, but your fingers better be fast.
AA | RFs German office made a simple greeting. I like the copy.
AA | RF on the American side created a fun site. Make quick copy changes and watch the scene change with each letter. Crazy stuff.
Put a tattoo on Santa’s ass? You betcha.

Remember Mister Hanky, the Christmas pooh? That was OK, but for some reason Hal Riney and company thought a nativity scene with a pooing statue was humorous. Not cool.
