Peeji Luigi

by Joe Doyle on September 11, 2007

We sometimes call PJ by the nickname “Peeji Luigi”. I dunno, maybe it’s funny to us being nowhere near Italian.

The last two nights were less than funny, though. PJ was screaming, burning up with temps of 100-103º. You couldn’t console him. You couldn’t even pick him up because he’d sound like a siren at the slightest touch.

As new parents, this freaked the crap outta us. We rushed him to the hospital when none of our own remedies would work. Lots of tests, an I.V., a shot of antibodies and a doctor’s visit later, he appears to be fine. They “think” it might have been a virus.

All I know is that the ole boy had plenty of gas and other things that would make every one of us miserable.

Welcome back to normal, Peej Luig. Now let’s get you back to that Day Camp where this whole thing likely started…

Sorry about the illness. I can only imagine how we’ll be when we’re in that position. Those day camps, hell anywhere there are lots of children, tend to be breeding grounds for sickness. I’m more surprised you didn’t catch anything. Glad he’s doing well.
