Since the NAHMBS is here, I’ve got the green light to post pics/review of my new 29er by True Fabrication, a start-up frame building company here in Austin.
The “huggy bear” saddle and Moots post belong to the builder. I’ve got an Eriksen post on order and the WTB Lazer will be on the bike at the show.
Overall I’m super pleased. The attention to detail β both on the bike and in service β was second to none. And you know me, I love custom steel (with four bikes in my quiver).
Stiff BB, compliant rear β I’ve only been on it three hours, but I’m happy like PJ taking a bath. The big wheels roll over everything in sight. I’m going to have a lot of fun on her.
The shamrocks – all me. Hand-drawn, tweaked in illustrator…just wanted something that screamed DOYLE!
Mad props to Spicyride (Rachel Gatto) for helping me pick parts and the like, and to Erik Weisenburger and Bill Anderson for helping me on the design.
