You may recall that I got into this web series and watched all 38 mini webisodes. I blogged about it, and as a result I received an email from the PR firm representing Current TV:
Hi Joe,
We know that the webseries Hometown Baghdad has been mentioned on your site and thought you would be interested to know that Current TV has acquired exclusive episodes to air on the network. Current will be the first network to air full length episodes of the controversial webseries on television.
Check it out on your cable or satellite. This type of voyeurism is perhaps my favorite – seeing how the everyday man lives.
For those who do know Current TV, it’s all viewer-generated content. And it was started by Al Gore. Weird, huh?
