Next year, right? I feel like a Cubs fan for saying that (no, I’m not one), but we’ll have to wait and hope for the best.
All said and done, I’m proud of the 06-07 Bears. What a fun season to watch. Good football.
But I do have a wish list for coach Lovie:
1. Healthy Tommie Harris - the guy fills a hole and nobody runs on the Bears with him on the line.
2. Healthy Mike Brown - the best player in our secondary was out most of the year.
3. Fire Ron Turner - 3rd and 1 = pass? Air it out in those high-wind, rainy conditions? Did he not see Jones burying the Colts D? If anyone is interested, fireronturner.com is available.
4. Lock in Lance Briggs - and other free agents. Good team. Need to keep it.

Sorry dude, I was thinking about you. Tough lesson for a rook QB. At least you’re not up hear freezing your ass off.
here - where the hell is your proofreader/intern when you need ‘em?
A few more keys for you -
*Time to start loading up on the O-line too. Tait and Brown are another year older, while Garza and Miller are journeymen at best.
*Strengthen the receiving corps. Berrian had a break out year, but Moose looked old and mostly ineffective.
*Say good by to Ogunleye and/or A. Brown. Talk about your wastes of money. It’s time for Anderson to be your starter.
*Stop putting so much on Mike Brown, or find a replacement. Unless we are talking Peyton Manning or LT, no team should be neutralized so much when one of their players, especially the safety, goes down (again, and again, and again . . .)
Mel - my friends and I (especially Jeff) were comparing the loss to that of the Tigers this year. All the right tools, but for some reason they left their cleats at home.
Mark - I agree! It seemed like the Colts Line overmatched ours, especially Ogunleye and Brown. I thought Moose had a good game, though.
I didn’t tell you: I met Leyland and staff, Verlander, Wilson, Shelton, Monroe and Polanco at a private cocktail party after the Whitecaps banquet. Reintroduced myself to Brandon Inge, who linked us as the West MI host parents who let their players drive the Hummer.
Be on the lookout for a package for the Doyle twins. Just a little something to appeal to your intellectual side.
Sorry Joe. I thought about you the whole game. I bet your group had alot of fun regardless of the score. I am not sorry for Auden. Shaving a “C” on a cat would have been difficult for the cat to handle. You should probably change Auden’s name to Payton anyway.
Yeah, Auden escaped unharmed. Maybe next year.
I bet Uncle Frank was loving life, all rooting for the colts and such.

Joe,
Sorry it took me so long to chime in, been busy as all you know what! I have to say when TJones started the running and then broke that long one, I thought the Bears were on their way. Go with the next year phrase, we’ve been saying that for almost 10 years now.
Take care and you suck with the weather, it’s so cold up here in Green Bay that I have to wear long sleeves on the trainer in my basement! No fun.
Take care,
Hauser
