Well, the day after I post on how cool the tour is, this news comes to light.
Fecking Vinokourov. I’m done with the tour. If anyone, I thought he was clean. A real hard guy, made from the mold that they threw away.
Well, he’s done. He should just make a video like his pal Floyd:

Oh crap! I hate that news. I have been busy all morning and figured I wouldn’t miss much since it is a rest day. Here I was giving him a standing ovation when he won yesterday’s stage.
Me, too. That’s the part that stinks so bad. You root for someone you think is clean and fair, and he turns out to be like all the rest.
Honestly, it begs the question, “did Lance dope?”
This whole blood transfusion idea - they didn’t start testing until 2004 for it. And both Tyler and Vino have links to the same doctor that Lance used (Ferrari).
Ugh.
This incessant doping is honestly becoming too much. I guess the pressure to bring home a win was too much for Vino & Astana. I feel for Kloden and the rest of Astana if they weren’t guilty as well.
All my support will now swing to Contador - hopefully he is too young to be entrenched in the underhanded tactics of the desperate. He seems like a good kid, and someone who can bring clean-living back to the sport.
If not Contador, then definitely Leipheimer… not because he’s an American but because he is playing the tour smartly.
Contador! He’s great. And like you said, hopefully too young to be wrapped up in this stuff.
This is my fav. From admitted EPO-user David Millar: “Vino is one of my favourite riders. He is a guy of class. Given what we have done, with our current situation, we may as well pack our bags and go home.”
Um, Mr Millar - you’re a cheat, too.
