A look at Y2K vs Y2K08

by Joe Doyle on October 6, 2008

Caught this Chicago Tribune graphic link from a friend on Twitter and thought I would share. I’ve said it before, but I find myself looking at my bank account and the comfort of my family when I make political decisions.

This is a telling chart of how we all feel these days:
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that George W. Bush went into office in 2000 and things went straight downhill.

Umm–Yeah! George W. basically killed all the good work of Bill Clinton getting us out of a major deficit. Just another note. Studies show that in the last hundred years, the economy has been better when there has been a democrat in office than when there is a republican. Obama Rocks!! He is kind of a maverick! :)

Speaking of Maverick, the term was used to describe a Liberal political family here in Texas. They don’t particularly enjoy the fact that the Republicans have purloined the term for their own use:

I read that and it was great! I just thought that since McCain thinks he is going to steal of Obama’s campaign slogans like saying Change a million times in his RNC acceptance speech-I would just start calling Obama a maverick! Plus I just feel compelled after Friday to say it as many times as I can!

So much for Republican “small government” eh?

So much for being a maverick, er Maverick.

Did you read that article I linked? Funny Texas stuff.
