40

by Joe Doyle on December 13, 2009

…is here. Just snuck up on me, like slow-moving turtle sneaks up on a blade of grass.

I’m thankful for many things in these 40 years, mostly all of you who have been a part of my life.

Y’all rule. Let’s celebrate again in 40 more.

Joe,

We share the same name. I googled myself, and your site is the first one that appeared. I also do Crossfit inspired exercises, but in my garage instead of a gym. I’m getting ready for warmer ocean temps (into the 40s) so that I can begin surfing for the year.

I also just hit 40 two weeks ago. I don’t feel any different. In fact, with my workouts, I feel better at 40 than I did at 36, 37, 38, and 39.

Did you ever see the site “Am I worthy of dating Joe Doyle?”. It was pretty funny, and I would send it to all of the women that I was friends with. My wife said that she was more than worthy, although she questions her decision to marry me.

Take care.

Hey there NJ Joe Doyle.

I’ve never seen this “Am I worthy of dating Joe Doyle?” site, but I’d like to. Initial Googling leaves me with naught.

And a surfer - perhaps all the Joe Doyles of the world were intended to be late-life amateur athletes. I’ve got a playoff hockey game tonight and can’t wait to skate.

Did you know that The Frames lead guitarist is a Joe Doyle? I think there’s about 400,000 of us worldwide.

Cya.
