On Sunday Katherine and Patrick are three months old. I think that means it’s officially time to drop the “weeks old” description. Heck, soon enough they’ll be driving…
Both are healthy, happy and keeping us on our toes.
Stacey goes back to work after Labor Day, which she’s ambivalent about. The daily grind provides mental challenges, more so than diaper changing and readings from furry-coated books. But leaving these guys won’t be easy. She hopes to ride her bike to the new office downtown, and you know I’m all for that.
Getting my office and home back (during the day) makes me excited, but like the wife, the idea of strangers caring for K&P makes it tough to promote the positives.
Attached is a shot of Stacey in 1972 with a snap of her daughter right next to it. The B+W is overexposed, but you get the idea. Lots of similarities in those girls. Katie is as cute as a bug in the rug. (PJ, too.)
See for yourself. In the last two months we captured 300+ photos, and I’ve posted the best of the bunch at our Flicker site.

Have yourself a weekend, friends.

i guess it is weird to get used to leaving your bundles with “strangers,” but we really loved our daycare. hopefully you will have a good experience with it too. the socialization is very valuable, and the constant parade of illnesses is supposed to train a healthy immune system. at least, it’s easy for me to say that now…
So much to think about, right? Colds, diaper rash, mean kids, friendly kids… they’ve got to be part of it sooner or later.
