The Pack still sucks…

The Pack still sucks

They really, really, really, really, really suck.
Yeah the Pack
still
sucks.

That polka is sung often in Green Bay, but with Bears in the lyrics instead of Pack.

Not this week.
Or the upcoming playoffs (which we’re not a part of, but still).

Heck, or with Lovie as our coach. He’s 6-2 versus the Packers.

Let’s go Cowboys!

Share and share alike

by Joe Doyle on December 21, 2007

Seems like most people these days are cleaning out email inboxes and getting ready from time away from the digital box. Here are a few items that have come across and caught my eye for one reason or another.

World’s thinnest wallets. I’m using one now and it’s the coolest thing ever.

One of the funniest takes on a mean client beating down on the soul-full, hip creative types. I love how clients are portrayed in these things.

Creative audio editing, just in time for the holidays.

This is the second Avenue A | Razorfish holiday promo I’ve seen this year, and I really like them both. What a cool company. Stacey is pretty fortunate.

Why I’ll never race on the track:

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Super Kwanza and Festivus for the rest of us. We’re off to San Angelo for time with family and mountain bike trails.

Hope your holidays are great.

Louis Mueller BBQ

by Joe Doyle on December 16, 2007

Kir and Lloyd invited us to join their friends (Ed and Katie from Portland) for a trip to the world famous Louis Mueller’s BBQ in Taylor. About 35 miles outside of town, this joint gets about 80% of it’s business from “the big city”.

The walls are black from smoking the meat in house every day for six hours. Business cards. Signs. Pictures. All black. Even the bathroom had some funky smoke drippings on the wall (see below).

The brisket is the best I’ve ever had. It’s served dry (sauce on the side) and the only rub they use is salt and pepper. This guy really liked it, too. So did James Beard.

If you come to Austin to visit, we’re going here:

The counter. Walk up. Tell em your choices. Wax paper on a tray – no plates.

My new business card amongst a bunch of smoked ones. I wonder what it’ll look like next time.

PJ had fun. He’ll enjoy the food some day.

Those Englishmen are fast.

The restroom in the new section next door had 30-foot ceilings and some weird dripping pattern (I assume from the smoking).
