Post 2 - more fun.

by Joe Doyle on August 10, 2007

Just when I thought the guy with itchy nuts (see below) was the funniest thing around, I read this article in the Chicago Tribune.

Hysterical writing.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and we went to the World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tenn. Before we embarked on the trip in an RV, my Aunt Kay bought the whole group t-shirts from Willie’s Wayside Wagon on the south side. On the front was a hot dog image and business name. On the back the slogan “We relish your buns”.

Ahhhh memories.

It’s Friday, y’all!

Quite possibly the funniest arrest ever.

by Joe Doyle on August 10, 2007

I couldn’t stop laughing after this came across my desktop. You have to listen, it’ll be the best minute of your day so far.

Have a great weekend, friends.

Thanks, Finni!

Mapping the baseball world.

by Joe Doyle on August 8, 2007

Old maps intrigue me. When I was little I recall a map of Chicago that ended at 95th street. “Why didn’t they finish it?”, I thought.

This map is pretty interesting, too. A friend sent it, after seeing it on the Chicagoist website.

Can you imagine how cool it was to assemble this data? What are those people called, people who build maps?

Personally, I think the Cubs territory should be nationwide. America’s team (thanks to cable and WGN). And I love to see that little section for the SOX. If you know a SOX fan, you know they’re happy not to be America’s team.

Are there really that many Pirates fans? Maybe in ‘79 with Willie Stargell and crew. But I don’t know…
