8 more days.

Stacey about cried after leaving the doctor today. She wants these kids out!

Last week Dr. Cowan said he’d induce by Monday the 14th. Now the boy is in the wrong position again, so it’s c-section time.

The good doctor has scheduled it for 1:30 pm on Friday, 05.18. Dr. Cowan wants Stacey to go the full 38 weeks, it’s better for the babies.

The growth sonogram was great. Both are developing nicely. We’re officially at week 36, day 6.

BOY: 6lbs 9oz, 141 BPM Femur measures at over 37.2 weeks (tall)
GIRL: 6lbs 2oz, 141 BPM Femur measures at 35.3 weeks

Last night the kids were super active and it was right out of Alien - appendages floating across her belly (like a good inch from her belly norm). Scary stuff.

No pics – I put too many up at full size and bogged this puppy down. I do what for a living?

Exactly.
A friend helped me out and I resized. Sorry.

Hope everyone is well.

Spring in Austin

by Joe Doyle on May 7, 2007

We’ve been wet – like Redwood Forest wet. The grass is super green and the perennials are ready to erupt.

Lots of green thumbery this season, too:

Trimmed Rose bushes are full, new
Redbud tree is reaching for the sky.

yates_rear
Only place with full sun. Milkweed,
cacti, grasses (bamboo Muhli is choice),
Rosemary, Sage, Lavender,
Pride of Barbados and more.

rear_shed
New sod, 1/2 the back bed:
shade-lovin’ perennials and shrubs,
border around shed, corner garden
with tomato, watermelon, purple bell
pepper, Peter Pan squash, onion, etc.

Molly_on_deck
Deck off the master - those Canna
are close to 1″ foot taller now.
We need some furniture back here.

tropical_sage
Tropical Sage bloom.

yates_front
A couple of nice ferns, small trees
lillies and Inland Seaoates

Kidswagen

by Joe Doyle on May 3, 2007

If you know me, you know I love trucks. Pickups. Exotic 4X4s and Jeeps (the only vehicle I owned more than three years).

Well, for my 13th car since my 17th birthday, I went full-on family, ahem, truck. It’s built like a truck. Rides a truck platform.

But is has all the family features like three rows of seating and side curtain airbags throughout. It’s my first automatic (bummer), my first car with leather, my first SUV and a couple other firsts (like the 10-speaker Bose package).

The car seats are in the garage and ready to go. All we need are kids…
